BIPP MISSION

Componets:

The mission of BIPPs in Texas is to eliminate domestic violence by providing services to baterers, promoting safety for victims of domestic violence, and affecting social change leading to cultural values that prohibit rather than support abuse within intimate relationships

FAMILY HAVEN:

works cooperatively with judges,prosecutors, and

community supervision and corrections departments

provides separate groups for male and female offenders;

ensures that program staff is trained and has the expertise

needed to work with family violence offenders;

emphasizes that victim safety is the pramount concern of the

program; utilizes a curriculum of 27 sessions;

ensures that batterers are consistently held accountable for their

abuse and does not allow victim blaming; participates in a

coordinated community response that conveys zero

tolerance for domestic violence in the community; and

complies with state Battering Intervention and Prevention Project

Guidelines.
