Persons who have committed family violence
Persons who are on probation for family violence offenses
Persons named as respondents in protective orders
Probationers needing intervention for their battering behavior
Persons who acknowledge their battering and abuse and
want to change their behavior
Who is NOT Appropriate for BIPPs?
Persons with untreated psychiatric disorders, such as
schizophrenia or active psychosis
Persons in need of primary treatment for child sexual abuse
Persons charged or being investigated for child abuse/neglect,
except those persons who are also violent to their adult partners
Persons with untreated alcohol or drug addictions
Persons who are unwilling to abide by
Battering Intervention and Prevention Program rules
